Asking the way
- ಬಸ್ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣ ಎಲ್ಲಿದೆ? — Where is the bus stand?
- ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದ ದೂರ ಇದೆಯಾ? — Is it far from here?
- ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೇಗೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕು? — How do I get there?
Giving directions
- ನೇರವಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಿ. — Go straight.
- ಎಡಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರುಗಿ. — Turn left.
- ಬಲಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರುಗಿ. — Turn right.
Buying tickets
- ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಟಿಕೆಟ್ ಕೊಡಿ. — Give me one ticket to Bengaluru.
- ಬಸ್ ಯಾವಾಗ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ? — When does the bus come?
- ಈ ಬಸ್ ಮೈಸೂರಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆಯಾ? — Does this bus go to Mysuru?
In an auto
- ಮೀಟರ್ ಹಾಕಿ. — Please put the meter on.
- ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿ. — Stop here, please.
- ಎಷ್ಟು ಆಗುತ್ತದೆ? — How much will it be?
Tips
- Learn ಎಡ, ಬಲ and ನೇರ first.
- Learn "ಎಲ್ಲಿದೆ?" for asking where.
